The New Project / New Request option, on SourceRadar, allows the requester to fill out information regarding a new procurement project and submit the request to the project owners based on rules set up within the system.
Request Details
The request details for a new project prompt the requester to fill out the following information:
Project Name |
Unique name the is used to identify the project. No other projects in the system can have the same name. |
Category |
Company defined categories that are used to categorize projects |
Type |
Company defined types that are used to label projects |
Description |
A summary used to describe a particular project |
Estimated Spend |
The total amount of cost that a project is expected to incur |
Spend Type |
One-time or Annual spend |
Current Year Spend |
The amount of cost, for a project, that has been incurred within the current year |
Track Saving |
Toggle YES/NO depending on if savings should be tracked for a particular project |
Saving Target |
The total amount of savings expected for a particular project |
Saving Type |
One-time or Annual savings |
Have you identified suppliers for this project? (Requester access only) |
Toggle YES/NO. If YES is selected, provide a list of suppliers for the SourceRadar manager/admin to consider for the request. |
Suppliers (Admin/Manager Access Only)
The Suppliers section allows SourceRadar Admins and Managers to search for and add suppliers to a particular project.
Adding Suppliers
To add a supplier, click the “ADD SUPPLIERS” button [1] in the Suppliers Section.
Search for suppliers in the search box [2] and click the search button [3].
Additional filters can be applied after clicking the “Show Filters” option.
Filters include searching the entire Explorer database for suppliers (Explorer Professional required) instead of searching only across the “My Suppliers” list, limiting results to Diverse and Small suppliers, and limiting by country.
If the supplier is found, check the box next to the supplier [4] and click the “ADD to PROJECT” button [5].
If the supplier is not found, click the “ADD NEW SUPPLIER” button [6].
Fill in the details for the new supplier and click the “Submit” button. Some custom fields may be required to fill out. Any potential suppliers that may be duplicates will appear on the right-hand side if applicable.
Schedule
The Schedule section is where the requester will determine the “Start Date” and “Needed By” (End Date) of a project.
Attach Documents
The Attach Documents section permits the requester to upload any documents that are relevant to the project.
Stakeholders
The Stakeholders section is where the requester can invite any internal company users to participate in the project with a view or edit role. Existing users will auto-populate and new users can be added by entering a valid email.
Custom Request Intake Sections
There may be custom sections that are required/optional to fill out when requesting a new project. These sections are created by the SourceRadar admin within your organization.
